Have you worked in a plant with real quality standards? You will be assisting with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certification and helping figure out how to meet those standards. This isn't a job for the faint of heart or someone one cruise control. You will need to be alert, attentive, and thinking about people and processes.
This is high tech manufacturing. You need to be at the top of your game. You need to be a learner too.
Of course you will be doing statistical analysis. Plan on working with the people on the shop floor, in the lab, with the managers, and the executives. You will also be chasing down the real source of customer complaints and sampling anomalies.
A Bachelor's degree in engineering or engineering technology is required. If you are also an ASQ Certified Quality Engineer that would be nice, but not required.
