Principal Duties & Responsibilities (Essential Functions):
Manage the company's day-to-day purchasing at both direct and buying group levels Acts as a liaison between manufacturers and Kieffer's Sales, Operations team, and Warehouse Monitor order status, delivery dates and back orders Review orders acknowledgements/Invoices to verify accuracy; coordinate with accounting dept for financial balance Verifies purchase requisitions by comparing items requested to master list; clarifying unclear items; recommending alternatives.
Obtains purchased items by forwarding orders to suppliers; monitoring and expediting orders.
Verifies receipt of items by comparing items received to items ordered; resolves shipments in error with suppliers and Warehouse Create and maintain professional working relationships with suppliers.
Forwards available inventory items by verifying stock; scheduling delivery.
Communicating clearly with inter-company departments and outside vendors.
Job Specifications/
Experience:
Two (2) or more years experience with inventory control and purchasing In-depth knowledge of purchasing functions, inventory and supply management systems Ability to understand and interact with multiple processes/systems Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Attention to detail Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines.
