Summary:
As a Production Manager you will play an integral role in the daily operations and success of our landscape maintenance and landscape installation TEAMS.
Using your project management skills, you will ensure that our daily operations and production schedule are executed with the upmost efficient and accuracy.
A production manager oversees crews in the field.
Specific focus will be on the landscape maintenance crews.
Our maintenance crews service over 250 locations and 1400 acres weekly.
This is a hands on managerial position! During the winter months, production managers are assigned a geographical area to manage our self-performance and subcontracted snow & ice management operation.
Qualifications:
Minimum five years' experience working on a commercial landscape maintenance crew.
Minimum three years as a crew leader or foreman.
Preference will be given to those with management and supervisory experience.
Basic mechanical aptitude preferred.
General aptitude for business management, personnel management and accounting.
Highly motivated, detail-oriented, work with a sense of urgency, and good organizational skills.
Good interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite & LMN software.
Must have a Class C driver's license and DOT medical card (CDL A must be obtained within 6 months).
Must have a PA Pesticide Applicator license with applicable categories (can be obtained within 9 months).
Responsibilities:
Coordinates and manages all field production activities, ensuring quality standards are maintained.
Must have complete understanding of all contractual obligations and execute to meet such obligations.
Works between divisions to maximize and leverage company-wide personnel, equipment and other resources.
Must maintain a safe working environment and enforce all safety standards, protocols, and regulations.
Encourage an accident-free work environment.
Assists in hiring, firing, training, and developing high performing work teams; grows, nurtures and develops personnel to reach goals benefiting both Company growth and individual growth of work team members.
Supports and participates in the development, implementation and refinement of departmental best practices in all areas of field operations and safety.
To keep abreast of new methods that might be applicable to the Company; constantly pursues new ideas, which could be implemented.
Proactively identify potential problems within production and find resolution to minimize damage/risk or possibly create unforeseen opportunity for gain.
Supports sales and marketing initiatives with solid production knowledge or service.
Identify opportunities for enhancements or upgrade.
Provides and maintains excellent customer service in accordance with MAPM's customer service delivery model.
Assist with landscape materials and equipment logistics.
Shift demand is variable with various managers but ranges the following:
M-F 07:
30-17:
00 (winter) & 05:
30-16:
00 (summer) with an occasional weekend demand.
Snow removal demand as services are required.
Compensation:
Exempt Position with a competitive base salary of $50,000.
00 to $60,000.
00 based on experience and qualifications.
Accrual based PTO starting at 70 hours per year (7 days).
Simple IRA Retirement plan with up to a 3% match.
Dental and health insurance available with company contribution 30%.
Quarterly discretionary bonus program (worth an additional $1600 annually).
