Key functions of the position include the cultivation of new relationships and stewarding existing relationships to increase engagement and financial support through new membership, program investment, sponsorship and advertising.
Responsibilities:
Identify development opportunities, including membership sales, program investment, sponsorships, and advertising for current, new members and non-members.
Establish relationships with Chamber members and the business community for a collaborative referral process Conduct sales presentations with prospective and current members, sharing overall value of Chamber engagement opportunities Submit weekly action plan for prospective calls and appointments Achieve monthly/quarterly/yearly sales goals Actively engage in community outreach efforts to ensure the Chamber's presence and effectively promote/enhance the organization and its mission initiatives, and services Represents the Chamber at pertinent community events, associations, and boards/committees while championing the Chamber's mission and vision Work with the Membership Manager to ensure a positive onboarding experience for all new members Assist in Chamber events and activities that may serve as potential recruitment and/or retention opportunities Oversee a Membership Committee to assist in strategies to increase membership prospects Assist in the execution of Ribbon Cuttings and other member engagement activities Attend Chamber events as required Attend regular staff meetings Performs other duties as directed by the President & CEO
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, or related field, and/or 5
years of progressive sales, account growth, community outreach experience Demonstrated success in securing donations, sponsorships, or advertising sales Experience working for a membership association is preferred Strong organizational ability and attention to detail Diligence in meeting deadlines and ability to work independently and under pressure Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and accounts, with flexibility to adjust to changing priorities Strong interpersonal and communication skills with professional presence, and an outgoing and engaging personality Ability to speak in front of groups and individuals at all levels of business to conduct member presentations and build meaningful relationships Ability to respond to inquiries and solve problems and handle complaints from members, the business community and the public Motivated and driven to succeed Capability to quickly learn a CRM database system Moderate to extensive knowledge of Microsoft applications Ability to work multiple evenings, early mornings and weekends A valid driver's license is required Job Type:

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
